Works good with trumpet too

The mic works good with a trumpet. The only downside is that, when attached to the bell, it may pick up the sound of the valves when they hit the felts. It makes a low thud that the mic picks up. Turning down the bass on your amp/receiver helps reduce the thud. Another way to reduce the thud is replacing the felts. It's a minor inconvenience though. You can still attach the transmitter to your music stand or a tripod. The fact that it is cordless , sounds great and Hermes has a fair price makes it a no brainer.
