AB168 is a 48kHz portable remote AudioRack for use with Qu, Avantis and SQ mixers, and with AHM audio matrix processors.

Ready for the Stage

The Expander’s rugged design, with hard-wearing rubber bumpers, allows it to be placed directly on the stage floor during performances. Weighing in at just 4.8kg and featuring a sturdy carry handle, the AB168 offers the convenience and portability needed in rental, education, houses of worship and many other environments. An optional 4U rack mounting kit is available for installation in 19-inch racks.

Maximum Flexibility

Put It Where You Need It

The AB168 can be placed up to 100m away from the mixer for maximum flexibility of positioning. The unit connects over a single Cat5 cable to the mixer or upstream Expander. A second port is provided for daisy-chaining to another compatible expander or for connection to a ME personal mixing system.

  • 16 Mic Preamps: +60dB of gain, Phantom Power indicators and -20dB pad for line level sources.
  • 8 XLR Line Outs: Balanced, relay protected line outputs on XLR.
  • Expander Port: For daisy-chaining 2 compatible Expanders or connection to ME personal mixers.
  • Plug-and-Play: No configuration required, just connect to your mixer and you’re ready to go. Firmware updates are handled automatically by the mixer.
