The MS-50G comes with 100 high-quality ready-made effects that let you cut down to the size of your pedalboard.

With Firmware V3.0, which is free to download, you'll have many more ways to create the perfect tone for your guitar. Firmware V3.0 gives you access to the new MS-50G Effect Manager, allowing you to view and manage the effects in your pedal, as well as download 72 new effects.

Dynamics / Filters

Shape and control your sound with these 25 compressors, equalizers, and filters, plus Zoom's Noise Reduction (ZNR) algorithm, designed to remove sound during pauses while maintaining your instrument's natural tone. Other options include automatic Slow Attack, AutoWah, and Cry, as well as emulations of the MXR Dyna Comp, Moog MF-101, and Z. Vex Seek-Wah.

Overdrive / Distortion

MS-50G boosters overdrive and distort tones including simulations of the BOSS OD-1, DS-1, and Metal Zone, as well as the Ibanez TS808, MXR Distortion+, Matchless Hot Box, Electro-Harmonix Big Muff, and Pro Co Rat. Our ExtremeDS effect offers the most powerful distraction benefit of any distortion effect in the world, there's even a simulator that lets your electric guitar sound acoustic.

Amp

The 22 amp models provided here include emulations of vintage and contemporary probe and solid-state amps from manufacturers such as Fender, Marshall, Mesa Boogie, Two Rock, Diesel, and ENGL, each with its own different type of speaker that it can be used to alter the quality of the tone. You can also patch any Amp Model to any Speaker Model for unusual and surprising effects. The MS-50G also gives you the ability to match the power of any amp/speaker to the current setup you're playing with (options include Line, Combo Front, Stack Front, Combo Power Amp, and Stack Power Amp).

Modulation/Special Effects

Here you will find 39 modulation and special effects, all made especially for the guitar. These include reduction, phasing, flanger, chorus, tremolo, vibrato, detuning, octave splitting, and pitch shifting—even an intelligent harmonizer that plays guitar in key. Vintage sounds include simulations of the Boss CH-1 Super Chorus and ADA flanger.

Delay / Reverb

The MS-50G's state-of-the-art DSP microchip performs 32-bit floating points, giving it the ability to create sophisticated studio-quality effects like the rich 29, dense reverb, and realistic spatial simulations found here . These will allow you to place your guitar in natural sounding environments like rooms and hallways or to add delay of up to 4 seconds. There are 25 types of delay available for the MS-50G. Reverb plates, springs, and recording delay simulator as well as reverse, modulated, and self-oscillating are included.

The version 3.0 of the MS-50G firmware offers you a vast selection of tools and effects than ever before. Firmware V3.0 allows you to download the MS-50G Effect Manager, which is a Mac and Windows application that gives you access to the full list of effects available in the Zoom StompShare app. With the new Effect Manager you can view, download, and delete effects to customize the MS-50G to your liking. Additionally, the latest firmware now gives you the ability to choose from 72 additional effects.

Full Features and Easy to Use

The intuitive layout of the MS-50G lets you easily navigate live and studio setups and makes it easy to create, store, and rearrange effects. Its input jack accepts signals from both passive and active guitars, and the two line-level output jacks let you record the sounds of the MS-50G in stereo. You can use up to 6 effects simultaneously and arrange them in any order you like - you can even bring individual effects in and out of the chain as you like. There are 50 patch memories where you can store your custom edited and chained multi-effects, with the first 30 preloaded with useful factory settings. An automatic save mode ensures that any corrections you make will be saved automatically, and you can create a list of up to 26 patches so you can cycle when you step on the MS-50G pedal - handy for live performances or when you want your effects in a specific order. Standby Power

The MS-50G runs on just 2   AA batteries - alkaline or rechargeable NiMH - and charges automatically when a plug is inserted into the input jack. A Power Management function turns the pedal off automatically if it is not used for long periods. Battery life reaches up to 7 hours on alkaline batteries, allowing you to use the MS-50G with confidence from rehearsal to stage. Alternatively, the MS-50G can be powered from the AC adapter (sold separately) or via USB.
